Pioneering Sustainable Soybean Processing at Ralston
Discover the industry standard in sustainable soybean processing innovation at Landus' Ralston, Iowa facility – the largest of its kind in the U.S. Our cutting-edge process eliminates the use harsh chemicals in favor of mechanical extraction, resulting in two distinct premium products:
Soybean Oil - Landus employs an innovative approach to the process of extracting the oil out of soybean seed. Instead of using harsh, dangerous chemicals to draw every ounce of oil out of the seed, the Landus facility crushes the bean to extract the oil.
SoyPlus® (soybean meal) - After the oil has been extracted, the soybean flakes are dried, toasted and ground into soybean meal. Introduced to the dairy industry as a high quality bypass protein in 1984, SoyPlus quickly became recognized as the gold standard of dairy nutrition because of its quality and consistency.
This closed-loop, scalable operation not only ensures top-quality output but also positively influences every aspect of the sustainability chain, from soil health to the final consumer product.
